Diksha Khanna at Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week spring/summer 2019

Diksha Khanna's collection consisted of mostly hues of pastels and lighter shade in the form of jackets, dresses and trousers. Most of the models were spotted donning sneakers and styled their hair in a double-braided manner.

As lifestyles reach jet speed and connective devices take over to rule our existence, it is easy to slip into a perpetual state of anxiety. More than ever, we condition our minds to switch to a parallel mode: temporary Utopias that let us escape and disconnect with things around us; a virtual pause and mute button; a holiday in head. Easy urban wear and holiday styles are our coping mechanisms for Spring Summer 2019. Organic hand loom denim, sheer handwoven linen and breezy chanderi are accented with faux leather detailing and needlepoint embroideries. The shapes are part Grecian, Part Street. The over sized separates are the perfect cocoons of comfort that envelop the wearer.

Payal Pratap at Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week spring/summer 2019

Payal Pratap Spring/Summer 2019 collection drew from the beauty of untamed forest foliage to create maxi dresses and layered separates that featured a mix and match of checks and stripes.

The collection titled “The Sound of Silence” and it was one of the most epic shows. It was not just the simplicity and wearability of her clothes that stayed, rather, the amount of work that went into transforming the stage into a jungle- replete with potted plants spread across the runway; a Simon and Garfunkel playlist; and some pretty-insane graphics on the big screen- was just surreal. The collection was just wow. I loved the maxi dresses that ranged from rhubarb reds and mustard yellows, but with unifying floral embroidery. The outfits looked so effortless.
