Designers Shivan and Narresh brought resort wear glamour to centre stage that worked beautifully with the new collection from Caprese, the international high fashion handbag brand at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020.

True to the international high-fashion lineage of Caprese, the latest Spring/Summer 2020 collection offered a brilliant mix of high fashion and functionality. Crafted in modern contemporary silhouettes with a fresh and vivid colour palette consisting of both pleasing pastels and ombré, the collection offered a handbag for every occasion and need of today’s modern woman complimenting Shivan & Narresh’s luxe design sensibilities. The trendsetting handbags that debuted on the runway exude quiet opulence and subdued glamour. They also came with a host of greatly desirable features for the modern woman like spacious interiors, multiple compartments, detachable and adjustable shoulder straps and easy access zippered pockets that made it a brilliant new collection a must-have in every woman’s spring/ summer wardrobe.

This new collection from Caprese comprised a wide array of handbags like elegant totes, timeless satchels, sophisticated hobos, smart sling bags, functional laptop bags, and trend-setting backpacks along with awe-inspiring small accessories like chic wallets and clutches. These international high-fashion handbags included in the collection exuded quiet opulence and subdued glamour, while they also came with a host of greatly desirable features for the modern woman.

Shivan & Narresh, the expert resort and swimwear designers whose collections have created a fashionable impact in India as well as worldwide, once again brought an even more daring and dramatic version of their popular “Seoul Series” with the “Hututi Summer” Collection.

Their line for Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020 researched the heart, essence and charm of South Korea, which the designers have visited several times. The vibrant colours and beauty of the idyllic Korean Peninsula countryside with its picturesque gardens, flora, culture, history and architecture appeared in all its glorious colours on the garments. Balancing this, Shivan & Narresh were inspired by the cityscape where bursts of art, music, food and fashion of Seoul gave inspiration for more additions to their holiday line.

The colours were strong, solid ones as Rorange (mandarin orange), Kebia from the Korean Caviar, the Golden Gyum and the rosy Hibiscus for the local rose as well as Hyan an ivory and a deep ruby from the Omija Berry, created a great palette. The fabrics were a perfect mix of rich velvet, lace, great taffeta, sheer organza, foil and Italian jersey.The line up of maillots, bikinis and trikinis were amazingly sexy, while the power net maxi dress with macramé swimsuit and lace pants brought a fabulous look on the ramp. Jumpsuits appeared in lace or in an off-shoulder silhouette. The lace celebration skirt with cut out bustier brought unconventional beachwear style for the holiday maker or the destination wedding bride.

To cater to the ethnic dresser, the designers showcased two saris but with their resort wear touches. The organza Rorange sari was teamed with a bustier and the olive heavily pearl encrusted one was a perfect evening wear offering. The silhouettes moved from daring beach and swimwear options, to cool poolside soirée evening wear. Keeping the young globetrotting millennial in mind, the garments moved seamlessly from trendy everyday wear to opulent options of formal elegance that were ideal for great holiday wear.

Diana Penty the beautiful showstopper moved gracefully on the ramp, in an olive neoprene/lace, asymmetric fluted, structured, long skirt encrusted with shimmering embellishments worn with Lurex, foil and Lycra blend wrap blouse.

For an oriental fashion experience that caters to summer and resort wear options, Shivan & Narresh ensured that their “Hututi Summer” line presented by Caprese offered all the right creations for beachcombers.
