Payal Pratap Spring/Summer 2019 collection drew from the beauty of untamed forest foliage to create maxi dresses and layered separates that featured a mix and match of checks and stripes.
The collection titled “The Sound of Silence” and it was one
of the most epic shows. It was not just the simplicity and wearability of her
clothes that stayed, rather, the amount of work that went into transforming the
stage into a jungle- replete with potted plants spread across the runway; a
Simon and Garfunkel playlist; and some pretty-insane graphics on the big
screen- was just surreal. The collection was just wow. I loved the maxi dresses
that ranged from rhubarb reds and mustard yellows, but with unifying floral
embroidery. The outfits looked so effortless.
